This is a short, and very easy, tower defense game created for Godot Wild Jam #89, with a theme of Repurposed.

This game can be played with Keyboard and Mouse together, just Keyboard, just Mouse, Touch, or Joypad. You can view the controls, and other options, on the Settings screen. You can also see the controls in-game on the Pause screen by clicking the Pause button at the top-left of the screen, or pressing the Pause Input Action (P, Escape, or Start, by default). You can also adjust the Game Speed on the Pause or Settings screens.

Gameplay is largely your basic tower defense. Place towers to beat enemies. New towers and upgrades are unlocked as you play. Click on a tower to see available upgrades. New enemies show up as the waves progress. There are 20 waves. The game can be beaten in under 30 minutes. It is fully beatable with no upgrades, or going heavy on the upgrades, so pick the style that works for you. We are still working to find the right balance of difficulty for jam games. This one ended up a bit too easy. If we develop it further the difficulty would be rebalanced.

Note for keyboard only or controller: To select a tower for upgrading, press "T" on the keyboard or RB on controller ( XBox), to bring up a cursor you can move around with WASD, just as you would for placing the towers. You then press "E" on keyboard or "X" on controller (XBox) to select it. You can change these in the settings by looking for the KBJ (Keyboard/Joypad) Actions.

Note for touch: Placing towers is done by clicking the tower you want to place, then dragging to where you want it, followed by clicking to place it. We acknowledge that for touch we need to add proper drag and drop support, but did not have the time for testing that before submissions close. Touch is fully playable, as long as you know how to do this for placing towers.

Known Bugs

  • When you finish wave 20, the game over screen pops up before the wave completed number is incremented, so it only shows 19, instead of 20.
  • Clicking Play Again from the game over screen may skip the first wave.

We will release a post-jam update rebalancing the difficulty and a few other minor tweaks, but are not, currently, planning to develop this game further.

Hi, your games always have this hand crafted village workshop air to them. That really reminds me of the authenticity of small games when times were simpler.

Thank you. We try to find the things that we most enjoy when playing games, and use that as inspiration when designing our own.
