Tutorial & help update, bug fixes, and performance optimizations

In our last update we added both a tutorial and the ability to remap your inputs, however, the tutorial had the default inputs written into the text. We have now changed this so that the tutorial will show the correct buttons to press for the current step based on how you have configured the inputs. Instead of being in the text, the inputs are shown in their own panel on the left side of the screen. This also allows more text space to be dedicated to explaining the current step instead of the controls. Likewise, the Help screen and the in-level popup controls list were showing only the defaults. These have also been updated to show the currently configured controls.
The on-screen controls have also been updated. The controls have been split out to have dedicated mouse and touch based controls for the d-pad and action buttons. There is also a new analog stick option. We’ve also increased the size of the shop and inventory buttons for item quantities to be easier for touch. These buttons now support holding to rapidly change quantities. With these improvements, we are now releasing an Android version and marking this as mobile friendly.
For the Game Jam some things were rushed and not done as well as they could have been. We’ve been going over the code and have cleaned things up and implemented some optimizations where we could. There is more work to be done, but things should be smoother. We also fixed some bugs we found along the way. One that some of you may have noticed, was that under certain conditions the game thought all animals had been contained, even when they were not. This should now be fixed.
This will probably be the last bug fix update for the current version of the demo. We will be starting on some significant changes next to add the new features we want in the game. We had not planned to release another update for the current version, but the cleanup process that was needed before moving on naturally lent itself to this release.
Thanks for playing!
